The Abraham Lincoln Tree
The tree plantings, 16 cottonwoods, each named for a president, George Washington to Abraham Lincoln, was done in the early 1870’s. The row extended south from the present Henry Rogler front yard, along the country road, now K-177… Now only Abraham Lincoln, the Cottonwood Tree, has weathered (more than) a century of Kansas Seasons.
